THE “WHITE LIGHTNING” CIGAR BOX GUITAR
Sure, it looks pretty. But this baby can scream like a banshee – or purr like a kitty. Definitely one of the finest instruments we’ve played at Waterside Guitars, and it’s fresh off the workbench for my apprentice, Nick!
We’ve even made some handy modifications to our routinely produced instruments. For those who enjoy slide and finger picking, we moved the bridge, neck and string placement a half inch. That allows a wider rest to rest your palm (and it’s excellent for those with large hands).
Yep, she’s a looker. Just some of the features of White Lightning:
- All wood body based on an Alex Bradley Connecticut Gordo box
- Maple neck, heel and scarf-jointed headstock
- Custom mother-of-pearl fingerboard inlays
- 21 stainless steel frets on a rosewood fingerboard
- MGB Hot Tuna humbucker pickup
- Chrome Volume and Tone knobs, sound hole, adjustable bridge
- Custom Art Deco tuning machines
This instrument has been tested on a number of different amps. It’s been set up for low, fast action and precise intonation.
This is a player’s guitar, with a strong acoustic attack and a wide range when plugged in.
